SWAT Team Resolves Suspected 'Barricade' In North Philly

A suspected "barricade" scenario in North Philadelphia ended Tuesday after a SWAT team cleared the property and found no threats, police say.

Authorities previously warned that a 44-year-old man was "making threats" against police from a home on the 6700 block of 5th Street in East Oak Lane on April 11. Bystander footage from the scene showed multiple armed police units outside a property.

On Wednesday, April 12, police told Daily Voice that the situation ended "without incident." The man was determined "to not be a threat" and SWAT officers cleared the scene.

No arrests or injuries were reported by police.
